Music

Our Music Services

At Multidisciplinary Therapy, we provide music therapy sessions for children and adults, either in home, at our therapy facility or at memory care and nursing home facilities. Goal-based techniques are utilized in a private setting where patients can feel at ease and focus on healing and health. Music therapy has proven to be effective in working with children with

Autism,

Cerebral Palsy,

Down Syndrome

and adults with

Alzheimer's,

Parkinson's Disease,

developmental disabilities,

traumatic brain injuries,

strokes,

and more.

Techniques are used that involve the client in the music-making to develop skills and facilitate improvement in the areas of physical, mental, emotional, social, and even spiritual well-being. Such skills may include the areas of expressive and receptive communication, rehabilitation of fine and gross motor skills, coping and adapting, academic and cognitive skills, and building self-confidence.
